Lake of the Woods Homeowners Association, Inc. was developed in the middle 1970s as a townhouse community. We are governed by Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions which run with the land, they're on our deeds. We also are governed by Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
We are NOT a condominium, however, the association maintains and repairs the roofs, exterior painting, and landscaping. Governance is by committees which report to the Board for final approval of recommendations.
Assessments are due on the first day of the month. A late fee of $25.00 is applied to delinquent assessments at the close of business (5 p.m.) on the 10th of the month.
Trash is collected Tuesday and Friday. Containers must not be set curbside prior to 6 p.m. the evening before collection. (This deters foraging critters)
Cars and Parking: The speed limit at Lake of the Woods is 15 miles per hour.
Parking spaces are in short supply. Visitor parking is provided at the end of the block in marked places and at the clubhouse.
Parking permits are required for cars parked in the guest parking areas at the clubhouse or at the end of the streets for more than 5 hours and/or overnight.
We do ticket and tow illegally-parked cars.
